PERRYTON (July 23, 2014) A fiery two-vehicle crash on a highway in the Texas Panhandle left two adults and a toddler dead Tuesday night.
The crash occurred on a highway about 25 miles south of the Oklahoma border, the Texas Department of Public Safety said.
The vehicles collided head-on, came to rest in a ditch and burst into flames, authorities said.
The driver of one of the vehicles, his wife and the couple’s 2-year-old daughter were pronounced dead at the scene.
A 19-year-old passenger in the other vehicle was also pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the other driver was able to escape from his vehicle before it caught fire.
He was taken to the Ochiltree General Hospital in Perryton.
