Fiery Crash Sends Four To Local Hospital

KILLEEN (October 17, 2012) - Four people were in the hospital after their car crashed into a ditch and caught fire.

The crash happened just after 10 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Highway 195 and FM 2670 in Killeen, near the community of Ding Dong.

Police say two men and two women were inside a car traveling east on FM 2670 when the car lost control, crashed into a ditch, and then caught fire.

One occupant saved the other three occupants by pulling them from the burning vehicle.

A female unconscious occupant was flown to Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple with non-life threatening injuries.

The other three occupants were taken by ambulance to Metroplex Hospital in Killeen with non-life threatening injuries.

The roadway was closed for a short time, but was reopened just after 11:00 p.m.
