Fiery Crash With 18-Wheeler Sends Motorcyclist To Local Hospital

ROGERS (September 1, 2014) A motorcycle rider was hurt Monday morning when his bike was involved in a fiery crash with an 18-wheeler on U.S. 190.

The motorcycle burst into flames after the crash, which happened a little after 10 a.m. Monday as the driver of the 18-wheeler turned off Knob Hill Road onto westbound U.S. Highway 190.

The rig and the westbound motorcycle collided in the intersection a Department of Public Safety trooper said.

The motorcycle rider was taken by ambulance to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, in Temple for treatment, the trooper said.

Information about the rider’s condition and injuries wasn’t immediately available, but he was conscious and talking as he was taken from the scene, the trooper said.

The truck driver wasn’t hurt.
