NASH (May 23, 2014) Two people died early Friday morning in a fiery crash on Interstate 20 in northeast Texas, the Department of Public Safety said.
The crash happened at around 4:30 a.m. Friday in Bowie County where I-30 crosses over County Road 2148 near Nash.
An 18-wheeler hauling a shipment of cars was eastbound on the interstate when it ran off of an overpass, fell onto the county road below, and caught fire, sheriff’s deputies said.
The names of the victims were not immediately released.
All lanes of the interstate were open.
