Fire Breaks Out At Waco Glass Plant


A fire broke out at the Owens Illinois Glass Plant in Waco.

WACO (May 3, 2014) A fire broke out at the Owens Illinois Glass Plant in the 5200 block of Beverly Drive in Waco.

The fire started in the back of the building.

Workers were evacuated for a short time while crews put out the fire.

A worker told News 10 a tank caught fire, which shot flames through the roof.

Fire officials say the flames were quickly put out by the company's on-site fire brigade.

Officials say there have been no reports of injuries.

The extent of the damage is not know at this time.
