Late-Night Fire Damages Waco Duplex, Displaces Residents

August 5, 2014) A Monday late-night fire destroyed one side of a duplex and left the other heavily damaged but all residents were able to escape unharmed.

Firefighters were sent at about 11 p.m. to the 5500 block of Tennyson Drive, in Northwest Waco, where the first units found smoke coming from the building.

The families living in both sides of the duplex had escaped the blaze without injury.

One side of the duplex was destroyed in the fire and the other received heavy smoke, heat and water damage.

All of the residents were displaced.
