WACO (April 1, 2013)--Waco firefighters rescued a man who fell from a cliff Monday afternoon in Waco’s Cameron Park.
The man, whose name wasn’t released, was taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.
Information about the severity of his injuries wasn’t immediately available.
Firefighters responded at around 3:45 p.m. Monday to Emmons Cliff where they discovered the man had fallen about 40 feet.
They descended and used a Stokes rescue litter to raise the man back up the cliff to a waiting ambulance.
The man was looking over the edge of the cliff when he lost his balance and fell, an assistant fire chief said.
