NOLANVILLE (February 7, 2013)--Local firefighters used the Jaws of Life early Thursday morning to rescue a woman after her car veered off U.S. Highway 190, went airborne and rolled several times.
The car burst into flames while Tara Jessica Jones, 35, of Lampasas County, still was inside, but rescuers got her out before she was badly burned.
The accident happened just after 2 a.m. Thursday on eastbound Highway 190 at Nola Ruth Street in Nolanville.
Nolanville police investigators say Jones lost control of the 2006 Buick LCX, which crossed the median, became airborne and overturned several times.
She was taken by ambulance to Scott & White Hospital.
Information about her injuries wasn't immediately available.
