Technical Difficulties Plague Fort Hood Multimedia Town Hall

KILLEEN (January 26, 2012) --- Fort Hood officials said they will continue to work to answer the hundreds of questions that were posted on their Facebook page during Thursday night's multimedia town hall.

Lieutenant General Donald Campbell Jr. was set to answer phone calls and Facebook posts on live television, but because of technical difficulties it was only carried online through Fort Hood Radio.

Some of the questions raised centered around traffic at peak times, benefits for soldiers' life partners, and the loss of civilian jobs on post.

Before the town hall, Campbell responded to the Army's recent announcement to reduce the number of combat brigades.

"I won't be able to go into a great deal of detail in answering it, but I can assure you over the next few months we'll be addressing the impact at Fort Hood and the impact for the soldiers and families that live here," Campbell said.

Over 400 questions were posted on the III Corps and Fort Hood Facebook page.

The town hall was recorded, and will be posted on the Fort Hood homepage in the next few days.
