HOUSTON (January 31, 2014) Deputies were investigating Friday after four people were found dead in a home in the northwest Houston suburb of Cypress.
A Harris County Sheriff's Office statement says deputies making a welfare check found the bodies at around 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Capt. Rolf Nelson said at a news conference a friend of the family requested the welfare check because one of the adults hadn't been at work "in a couple of days."
Nelson said authorities believed the four were family members, but wouldn't provide details about the victims or how they died.
Investigators were awaiting a report from the Harris County medical examiner's office.
