EL PASO (December 18, 2013) Four West Texas educators who were put on paid leave in August after an audit that raised questions about students skipping grades and issues with credits have been cleared.
The officials with the Socorro Independent School District returned to work on Wednesday.
An outside investigative report released late Tuesday says Socorro ISD administrators did not intentionally try to manipulate federal accountability standards.
The review found no illegal actions.
Superintendent Jose Espinoza reinstated the four current or ex-assistant superintendents, Pat O'Neill, Rebecca O'Neill, Cynthia Lopez and Holly Fields.
Espinoza says he believes there was no malicious intent to harm students and appropriate action will be taken to ensure compliance with district rules.
