ALICE (July 23, 2012)—Four men died and another was been hurt in a gang-related attack in Alice that included gunfire and a chase.
Alice police Chief Daniel Bueno said nobody was immediately arrested after Sunday's violent incident.
Bueno said Isaac Vela was shot to death on the street as the occupants of vehicles exchanged gunfire.
Four men in an SUV sped away with the other vehicle in pursuit.
The SUV hit a wall.
Three of the occupants died.
Omar Beltran died of head trauma, police said.
The driver, Dagoberto Baiza, and a passenger, Juan Miguel Benavides, were shot, but police are trying to determine if the crash caused their deaths.
Another passenger was seriously hurt.
