Local Grocery Store Damaged During Storm

HAMILTON (March 9, 2013) -- A grocery store was damaged Saturday night as severe weather moved through Central Texas.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Department reports an awning at David's Supermarket collapsed around 8:00 p.m. Saturday.

There were reports of people being trapped inside the store, but no injuries were immediately reported.

KWTX viewers reported the store was badly damaged, with water inside from the rain.

Officials are still investigating what caused the awning to collapse.

There were also reports of downed trees in Hamilton

Three-quarter inch hail was reported in Aquilla and a spotter recorded a 55-mile-per-hour wind gust in Waco
