HOUSTON (December 10, 2012)--A 15-year-old was taken into custody Monday after the gun he took to a Houston-area high school discharged accidentally in a classroom.

No one was injured.

Spring Branch school district spokesman Steve Brunsman said the incident happened about 11 a.m. Monday as about 25 students and teachers were gathered in a classroom.

Brunsman said the students were immediately provided assistance from staff and social workers, and their parents were notified.

He said the juvenile who was carrying the gun has been detained and the gun confiscated.
