DALLAS (October 14, 2013)--A handful of vendors at the State Fair of Texas have been busted for selling alcohol to a teenage girl who was working undercover for the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.
Seven of the fair’s more than 70 vendors were snared on the operation.
Each will pay a fine and won’t be allowed to serve alcohol for two days.
Fair senior vice president Carey Risinger said each vendor must undergo a TABC certification class and that the fair takes violations "very seriously."
The fair prohibits vendors from selling alcohol after 10 p.m. and restricts customers from buying five beers in a single purchase.
