The accident happened at around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. 190 in at the Main Street overpass in Nolanville.

Officials say the woman was driving east in the westbound lanes of the highway when her car collided head-on with the eastbound car in which the two men were riding.

One of the vehicles ended up dangling off of the overpass.

Fair, who was a passenger in the eastbound car, was in extremely critical condition when he was flown to Scott & White Hospital in Temple where he later died.

The woman was also flown to Scott & White Hospital with what police said were moderate injuries.

The other man also suffered what police said were minor injuries.

The section of the highway was blocked off as crews worked to clear the debris.

The crash is under investigation
