Head-On Crash On Texas Interstate Kills Two

FORT WORTH (February 4, 2013)--Two people were killed and Interstate 30 in Fort Worth was closed after a vehicle whose driver was going the wrong way on the freeway collided head-on with another vehicle.

Fort Worth police say other drivers had called 911 after seeing the car traveling on the wrong side of Interstate 30 early Monday.

One motorist estimated the black sedan was moving at 100 miles per hour.

That car eventually slammed into a two-door coupe.

The drivers of both vehicles were killed.

Authorities didn’t immediately identify the victims.

The medical examiner's office also will be looking at whether medical issues contributed to the crash.
