Man Charged In Hit-And-Run That Killed Texas Highway Worker

GRAND PRAIRIE (August 5, 2014) Francisco Castillo, 24 of Grand Prairie, was in the Dallas County Jail Tuesday charged in a hit-and-run that left one highway worker dead and a second injured.

Castillo is charged with accident involving death and accident involving injury.

His bond was set at $200,000.

He was arrested Monday at his home.

The charges stem from an accident before dawn Monday on the President George Bush Turnpike in Grand Prairie.

Police believe Castillo was driving a car that crashed into a highway maintenance vehicle and a trailer.

The accident killed Camerino Sixtos, 41, who was riding in the trailer as he put down reflective markers.

The worker driving the highway vehicle was slightly injured.

The car’s driver and a passenger fled after the accident.
