Local Family's Home Destroyed In Explosion, Fire

An explosion and fire left a family of four homeless overnight.

BRUCEVILLE-EDDY (March 8, 2013)--A family of four was able to make it out safely before an explosion destroyed their home.

The explosion was reported just after midnight at a home on Soules Circle neare the Bruceville-Eddy Elementary School.

All four family members,along with the family's dog, ran to a neighbors house.

They said there was an explosion in the home.

There were reports of multiple explosions inside the home.

The home was wood-framed, and the front end collapsed during the fire.

As of 1:15 am, firefighters were still putting out hot spots.

The cause of the blast is still under investigation.
