Local Firefighters Battle Early-Morning Blaze; Home Destroyed

WACO (March 19, 2013) -- Fire investigators are searching for a cause after an early-morning house fire Tuesday.

The fire started just before 4:30 a.m. Tuesday in the house at the intersection of North 9th Street and Colcord Avenue in Waco.

Fire crews arrived to find flames shooting through the roof.

Officials say one person was inside the home at the time of the fire, but escaped unharmed.

The house was destroyed.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
