HILL COUNTY (June 19, 2012)--State troopers, fire rescue personnel and paramedics responded late Tuesday morning after an 18-wheeler overturned on Interstate 35 near Abbott between West and Hillsboro.

The accident closed down the northbound lanes of the highway and traffic was diverted onto the access road until the highway was cleared.

Traffic backed up about 3-and-a-half miles because of the accident, authorities said.

There was no immediate word on injuries.
