BELLMEAD (June 28, 2014) An incumbent on the Bellmead City Council will keep his seat.
In a runoff election Saturday night, Councilman U.F. Roberts got 61 percent of the votes for Precinct 4.
His opponent, Jose R. Arrollo, Jr.,walked away with 38 percent of the votes.
This is the second time Arrollo has run for council and lost.
Roberts says he just wants to let the city manager do his job without others butting in.
Arrollo was running on a platform of change, urging the city crackdown on its manufactured home ordinance which allow them in specified areas such as mobile home parks.
Only 71 people voted in this election.
