Infant Left In Locked Car In Texas School Parking Lot Dies

DALLAS (May 17, 2013)--A 1-year-old child who was left in a locked vehicle Friday in an elementary school parking lot died, Dallas police said.

A witness who discovered the child in the car Friday afternoon at Frank Guzick Elementary School broke out a window, removed the child and started CPR, but the child was later pronounced dead at an area hospital, police said.

Investigators were interviewing the infant’s parent, who’s a teacher at the school, police said.

The National Weather Service said temperatures in Dallas rose into the high 80s Friday in Dallas.
