WACO (August 18, 2012)- Traffic on I-35 near Bellmead came to a standstill Saturday afternoon after multiple vehicles were involved in separate accidents.
It all started around 12:30 p.m. Saturday when a man lost control of his vehicle and swerved from the far left hand lane of the Interstate to the far right hand lane, as the man tired to stop his vehicle he was hit from behind.
Nobody was hurt in this accident, and crews from the Waco Fire Department were sent to the scene.
When fire crews arrived a white car that was driving down the Interstate hit one of the parked fire trucks from behind.

Nobody was in the white car or the fire truck was injured.
While crews began to clear the scene from the first two accidents a small car got wedged between a guardrail and an 18-wheeler in the far left hand lane near the 337 mile marker.
Then two other cars and a truck were involved in a fender bender.

Crews were able to clear the area by 3 p.m. Saturday, but traffic remained heavy in the area.
In total 5 people were taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco.
