WACO (November 5, 2013) One man was taken to a local hospital Tuesday evening after the SUV he was driving crashed into a median wall at around 7 p.m. along Interstate 35 near South 18th Street in Waco.
Police said they didn't believe the driver was injured in the collision, but said they think he may have had a medical condition that caused him to lose control of his Cadillac Escalade.
One officer said he thinks the Cadillac struck the median wall as far south as Valley Mills Drive and skidded along the concrete barrier until it finally stopped at 18th St.
The victim was taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.
Traffic was restricted to one lane northbound near the 18th Street overpass while crews cleared debris and the SUV from the highway.
