HILLSBORO (August 29, 2013)—Almost four months after a missing Hillsboro woman was found lying dead in a field near Granbury, Hill County investigators say witnesses have come forward with some new information.
Kasie Clary, 23, was found dead alongside a Hill County road in early May, almost a week after family members reported she was missing.
A farmer who was driving along a gravel road near Grandview noticed something suspicious in a brush line alongside the road and when he went to look, he discovered the body.
Foul play was apparent, authorities said.
Acting on information from witnesses, investigators say they’ve located a vehicle in which they believe Clary’s body was transported to the site where it was found after she was killed.
Hill County Sheriff Michael Cox said blood found inside the car was sent to a crime lab.
Results were pending Thursday.
"One of the witnesses where the body was found saw a gold vehicle that matches that description in the area the day the body was found," Cox said.
Autopsy results indicated only that the cause of death is undetermined
Authorities are asking anyone with information about Clary’s disappearance or death to call the Hill County Sheriff's Office at (254) 582-5313.
