CASHION, Okla. (July 18, 2014) A kidnapped 5-month-old Oklahoma girl who was the focus of an Amber Alert was found unharmed early Friday in West Texas.
The 5-month-old girl was found "safe and sound" early Friday morning, Kingfisher County, Okla., sheriff’s dispatcher Traci Tate said.
Authorities in Seminole found the girl, Tate said.
No one was in custody, she said, but she did not elaborate.
The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety canceled an Amber Alert it issued for the girl.
Authorities and said earlier the girl was abducted near Cashion, Okla. and said they were looking for the woman who took her and who made comments about the child dying.
The alert said the suspect was a 47-year-old woman accompanied by a 43-year-old woman and said she has a "mental condition" and made comments about a vision of the child dying "in two days."
