KILLEEN (August 16, 2014) Dozens of people were displaced Saturday after a fire heavily damaged a Killeen apartment building.
The fire started around 3:00 p.m. at the Summer Place Apartments on N. College St.
Ten apartment units were evacuated.
Most suffered smoke damage.
Everyone living in upstairs units are displaced after firefighters opened the ceilings of all the first floor units to put the fire out.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The Red Cross is assisting the apartment residents.
