Late Night Fire Destroys Home

By: Chris Shadrock Email

EDDY (January 17, 2013) -- A fire late Wednesday night in Eddy destroyed a home and kept crews busy well into Thursday morning.

First responders battled not only the fire, but also temperatures that were below freezing as they tried to contain the blaze.

The home was in the 1400 block of Kennedy Drive in Eddy.

When fire fighters arrived the home was engulfed in flames.

Crews at the scene were unsure if anyone was home at the time, but did say there were no injuries as a result of the fire.

Fire crews from Lorena, Bruceville-Eddy, and Moody responded.

The home is believed to be a total loss.
