WOODWAY (October 24, 2013)- Woodway police were searching Thursday for an armed man who walked into the CVS Pharmacy and demanded money.

Assistant police Chief Robert Smith said at about noon Thursday a man walked into the pharmacy at U.S. Highway 84 and Estates Drive, pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and demanded cash.

Smith said victims at the store said the man was black, between 5-feet, 10-inches and 6-feet tall, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, a black do-rag and a gray baseball cap over the do-rag, Smith said.

The robber left the store and drove away in a late-model gray Pontiac, but police did not release a license number.

No one was injured.

Smith said the man should be considered armed and dangerous and he asked that anyone with information about the robbery call Woodway police at (254) 772-4470.
