WACO (February 22, 2013)--Two Waco High School students were in custody Friday after a classmate told police he was robbed.

Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said the student reported he was walking with a group of teenagers at around 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 2 near North 34th Street and Bosque Boulevard when a car pulled up.

The victim, 17, said two teens jumped out of the car, ran up to him, demanded he hand over his cell phone, and then assaulted him.

Swanton said the victim waited several days before reporting the assault and robbery.

Police arrested Joey Bernard Conway, Jr., 18, and another teenager who was not identified because of this age.

Conway was in the McLennan County Jail Friday.

The other teenager was taken to the Bill Logue Juvenile Justice Center.
