By: Paul J. Gately Email

WACO (September 3, 2012)--A Waco homeowner who caught a burglar in the act after returning from a hunting trip was able to hold the teenager at gunpoint until police arrived.

The homeowner, who wasn’t identified, arrived at his residence Saturday evening in the 7400 block of Pedernales Drive, near Bosqueville, to find that his home had been broken into and that several items from the home had been placed outside.

The homeowner, who had just returned from a dove hunting trip, decided to wait to see if anyone returned to get the items and when the teenager returned, the homeowner held him at gunpoint and called police.

Officers arrested Dakota Wayne Park, 19, who was taken to the McLennan County Jail and charged with burglary of a habitation.

His bond was set at $20,000.
