WACO (July 26, 2013)—David William Sirbasku, 49, was free on bond Friday after he was charged with delivery of a controlled substance causing death in the drug overdose death of a woman who was found dead in a bathtub in an upscale suburban home.

McLennan County sheriff’s deputies arrested Sirbasku Thursday morning and he was freed later in the day after posting a $25,000 bond, McLennan County Chief Deputy Matt Cawthon said.

Sirbasku was arrested twice in less than a week in January at the house at 8465 North Rock Creek Rd., in Bosqueville just outside of Waco after deputies raided the home on Dec. 29, 2012, and found the 28-year-old woman dead in a bathtub.

Nearly a dozen officers served the warrant and recovered crystal methamphetamine and heroin, along with drug paraphernalia.

The woman, whom authorities identified as Lauren Darby, evidently suffered a drug overdose and drowned an autopsy revealed.

Sirbasku was named in two indictments in June charging possession of heroin and possession of methamphetamine.

Sirbasku is the son of late Waco businessman Jim Sirbasku, the CEO of Profiles International, who died in February 2010.

Jim Sirbasku also owned Arabians Ltd., an Egyptian-Arabian horse farm adjacent to the house.
