WACO (December 11, 2012)--A Waco man was held Tuesday in the McLennan County Jail after his arrest for sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child.
Jason Maltino Davis, 37, was arrested on warrants stemming from an investigation that started after a woman reported to police that her daughter had been sexually assaulted in October 2011, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.
The child also reported that a man touched her inappropriately in September 2011.
Swanton said the sexual assault resulted in the 15-year-old victim's pregnancy.
The incident happened at a North Waco residence while the victim was visiting from out of state, Swanton said.
Swanton said Davis learned he was named in the warrants and went to the Waco police station Monday afternoon where members of the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force arrested him.
