KILLEEN (May 24, 2013)—A dispute between neighbors resulted in a stabbing early Friday morning that sent one man to a local hospital with a wound in his chest.
Killeen police were sent at about 3:40 a.m. to a residence in the 1800 block of Alamo Avenue where they found a man who had suffered a stab wound in a fight with a woman.
The victim, who was not named, was taken by ambulance to Scott & White Hospital, in Temple, for treatment of a chest wound that police said at the scene was not life-threatening.
Police who investigated the incident said the stabbing resulted from an argument between neighbors who shared a common driveway.
Evidence at the scene showed the man likely was stabbed outside the residence.
Officers took the woman into custody, but she also required medical treatment.
Police said she accidentally stabbed herself in the leg during the attack.
She was taken to Metroplex Hospital for treatment and then was jailed, pending charges, police said.
Officers did recover a knife at the scene.
