WACO (July 24, 2013)--A Waco man and his teenage son arrested after a convenience store employee was held up at gunpoint remained jailed Wednesday, charged with aggravated robbery.

Freddie Lee Martin, Sr., 39, and Freddie Lee Martin, Jr., 18, were ordered held in lieu of $50,000 bond each.

The older Martin was also held on multiple traffic warrants totaling $7,671.90.

Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said officers were sent at around 7 p.m. Tuesday to the R&M Food Mart, in the 1900 block of J J Flewellen Road, after an employee reported he had been robbed at gunpoint.

The employee told officers he was carrying the store's receipts to his car when three men approached him, two of them armed with handguns, and demanded the money.

The clerk was able to identify two of the robbers because they were frequent customers at his store, Swanton said.

Police arrested Martin, Sr. shortly afterwards at the Lafayette Apartments and later arrested his son at the Oak Lodge Motel on Austin Ave.

Police were looking for the third man Wednesday.
