WACO (September 19, 2012)-One man was injured Wednesday morning when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a van whose driver left the scene.
Police and fire units were sent at around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday to the intersection of Hewitt Drive and Imperial Drive where the motorcycle collided with a van.
The motorcycle rider suffered a head injury, but did not require hospital treatment.
The driver of the van, who wasn’t injured, stopped to check on the rider, but then left the scene, police said.
Officers stopped the van a short time later.
Officers said the motorcyclist had turned onto Hewitt Drive and was eastbound when the van pulled out of a nearby parking lot and stopped in the middle of the roadway.
The motorcyclist was not able to stop and his bike collided with the van.
