TEMPLE (September 13, 2013)—Given Texas A&M’s Twelfth Man tradition and his parents’ love for the university, Tristan Xavier Alan Martinez’s arrival on Sept. 12 was auspicious.
And while it’s too early to tell whether Texas A&M is in his blood, it’s definitely in his name, or at least in his initials, T.X.A.M.
Tristan, the newborn son of Adam and Tammy Martinez of Zabcikville, was born just after 9 a.m. Thursday at Scott & White Hospital in Temple.
And at 9 pounds 4 ounces and 19.5 inches, he may be on his way to fulfilling his father’s hope that he’ll play for the Aggies one day.
Adam Martinez says he fell in love with the university when he first enrolled.
The couple’s friends were at first surprised by the choice of a name, but he says they now think it’s “pretty cool.”
