ABBOTT (June 11, 2014) A former Abbott ISD teacher turned herself into the Hill County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday afternoon, after the department filed several criminal charges against her.
According to Sheriff Michael Cox, Chrystal Miller has been charged with indecency of a child, on-line solicitation of a minor and improper relationship between an educator and a student.
Miller’s bond was set at $15,000. She posted bail and was released Wednesday.
A press release said Miller was charged after a student’s parent showed investigators a Facebook conversation he was having with a teacher.
The release says search warrants for Miller’s phone and Facebook account were served shortly after.
According to the release, evidence from Miller’s phone and Facebook account along with a forensic interview of the student led to her warrants of arrest.
