CHALK BLUFF (July 2, 2013)--A Chalk Bluff teenager was held Tuesday in the McLennan County Jail charged with continuous violence against a family member.

Jesse James Bain, 18, was ordered held in lieu of $5,000 bond on the continuous violence charge and was awaiting bond on a second charge of assault by strangulation, jail records showed.

A McLennan County SWAT team was sent to an address in Chalk Bluff Sunday after a report of a disturbance that turned violent.

Records showed a man who was living at the house had a history of violence against family members and claimed to be a member of a gang.

An arrest warrant issued in the case said a 16-year-old girl, who claimed to be the man's wife, reported that she had been beaten and strangled while living at her mother-in-law's home, close to the intersection of Farm-to-Market 933 and FM 308.

The arrest warrant also said the girl’s husband had a history of making threats against law enforcement officers.
