WOODWAY (March 27, 2014) Woodway Police arrested a local woman this evening after a home was burglarized near Delhi Road in Woodway.

According to the Woodway Public Safety Department Facebook page, an officer was sent to check on a suspicious truck near where the burglary happened this afternoon.

When the officer approached the vehicle, he saw a woman walking up to the truck and then tried to flee.

Woodway Police says the officer was able to disable the truck and make an arrest. He then recovered several items reported stolen from the burglary, however the post didn’t say where the officer found them.

Whitlee Lindsey, 23, was arrested at the scene and charged with burglary of a habitation, resisting arrest, and possession of a controlled substance, online jail records show.

This is the second time in a week Lindsey has been arrested and charged with burglary of a habitation.

Last Wednesday, she was arrested by Waco Police at the New Road Inn with another man where police found stolen property from a China Spring home that was recently burglarized.

Police found the stolen property inside a hotel room where they made the arrests.

According to Waco Police Spokesperson Sgt. Patrick Swanton, police also found some jewelry reported stolen from another burglary, as well as a laptop reported stolen from a car burglary.

Swanton said Lindsey could face additional charges for other burglaries in the area.
