WACO (November 6, 2012)--A Waco woman was in the McLennan County Jail Tuesday after she was arrested and charged in an assault on her elderly mother.
McLennan County Jail records show Elizabeth Scott Norman, 47, was ordered held in lieu of a $5,000 bond, charged with injury to the elderly.
Waco police Officer Steve Anderson said Norman was arrested after officers were sent at around 11:30 p.m. Monday to an address in the 2100 block Charboneau to a report of an assault.
At the scene officers learned a 76-year-old woman had been assaulted.
The victim reported she had been struck several times in the face and neck.
Anderson did not say if the victim required medical attention.
