NOLANVILLE (October 24, 2013) A Waco-area woman was named in an indictment Wednesday in connection with a fatal traffic accident in July on a Bell County highway.
Dana Beth Tackett, 29, of China Spring, was named in an indictment charging intoxication manslaughter with a motor vehicle in connection with a head-on crash in Nolanville that left Dante Fair, 29, of Killeen, dead.
The accident happened at around 1:30 a.m. on July 10 on U.S. 190 in at the Main Street overpass in Nolanville.
Officials say a woman was driving east in the westbound lanes of the highway when her car collided head-on with the eastbound car in which two men were riding.
One of the vehicles ended up dangling off of the overpass.
Fair, a passenger in a car driven by Maota Esau, Jr., died at a local hospital where he was taken after the crash.
Esau was injured in the collision.
Tackett also was injured and was hospitalized, police said.
