GATESVILLE (January 19, 2012)--A Coryell County man and his wife both were jailed Thursday, charged in connection with the sexual assault of a child.
Joshua Hugh Terrell, 28, was held in lieu of $100,000 bond, charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.
His wife, Diane Michelle Terrell, 35, was held in lieu of $50,000 bond, charged with tampering with a witness.
Coryell County Chief Deputy Joe Blakley said Joshua Terrell was arrested Wednesday after a girl younger than 14 reported she had been sexually assaulted at a location in western Coryell County near Evant.
Blakley said Diane Terrell was arrested after the young victim reported she was threatened and told not to testify against her attacker.
