Local Dollar General Store Robbed At Gunpoint

KILLEEN (July 16, 2012)—Killeen police were investigating Monday after the early-morning robbery of a local Dollar General store.

The robber struck at around 7:30 a.m. Monday as a female employee was opening the business in the 200 block of East Hallmark for the day.

The man approached the woman, displayed a gun and forced her inside the business where he took an undisclosed amount of cash.

He left her in a backroom before he fled.

The robber was black with a stocky build and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray sweat pants, black leather gloves, dark shoes, and had a gray covering over his face, police said.

He was about 5-foot-11 and weighed well more than 200 pounds, police said.
