WACO (June 28, 2012)--A Waco High School student was sentenced to jail Thursday after she pleaded guilty to reduced charges in connection with the aggravated robbery of a classmate.

Queen Ester DeGrate, 19, was sentenced to 180 days in county jail in exchange for her plea to a Class A misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury charge and a Class B misdemeanor theft charge.

Waco Police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said DeGrate originally was charged in connection with an attack on an 18-year-old classmate at Dewey Park, in the 900 block of North 9th Street, during which the victim was assaulted and her purse, wallet and cellular telephone were taken.
