Teen Indicted In Shooting That Injured 15-Year-Old Central Texas Girl

WACO (February 2, 2012)—James Lee Saulters, 17, has been indicted for aggravated assault in a Dec. 23, 2011 shooting that left Kaci Greiger, 15, seriously injured.

The McLennan County Grand Jury handed up the indictment Wednesday.

The shooting happened at around 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 23 on Redfish Lane near Hallsburg.

Greiger was flown to Scott & White Hospital in Temple and Saulters was arrested, authorities said.

The girl is now in a rehabilitation center in Austin.

Saulters is free on bond.

Both were Axtell High School students at the time of the shooting.

Authorities said Greiger was Saulters’ girlfriend.
