BELLMEAD (April 2, 2014) Darryl Wayne Owen, 49, of Bellmead, was free on $1,000 bond Wednesday after he was charged with indecent exposure in connection with an incident at the Bellmead Walmart store in which a man exposed himself to shoppers.

Security officers at the store who were monitoring surveillance cameras watched as a man removed his genitals from his pants, hid them under his shirt and then raised his shirt as he approached female shoppers in the store, Bellmead police Detective Michael Miller said.

Miller said none of the women the man approached actually witnessed the exposure because he did it when their backs were turned.

Police and security officers approached the man in the store, took him to a secure office where he was questioned and then arrested.
