GALVESTON (July 21, 2014) Aleksandar Momcilovic, 66, of Pearland, drowned Sunday evening while swimming with his grandchildren off the seawall in Galveston.
Momcilovic was on a boogie board when his grandchildren noticed he was bobbing up and down with his fist on his chest, police said.
The children thought he was playing, but when they discovered he was unresponsive, they got out of the water and ran to get their mother police said.
Momcilovic was a good swimmer, but had a history of medical issues, police said.
The exact cause of the drowning is unclear, they said.
