Man Flees After Crash That Injured Elderly Woman, Child

WACO (August 15, 2012)—Police were looking for a man who ran after a collision late Wednesday morning between a car and an SUV at a Waco intersection that left the SUV on its roof and sent an elderly woman and a child to a local hospital.

The collision between the Cadillac sedan and the Hyundai SUV happened just before noon at the intersection of North 26th Street and Lasker Avenue.

The man who fled was riding with a woman and three children in the Cadillac, which was eastbound on Lasker.

The elderly woman was alone in the SUV, which was northbound on 26th Street and overturned in the crash.

The woman and one of the children riding in the Cadillac were taken by ambulance to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.

The woman and the other two children in the Cadillac were not injured.
